As we reported, on its April 27, 2023, Freestyle Live broadcast, Drew Estate announced a new event cigar coming from its Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo line called Super Ancho. Today the company provided more details on the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Super Ancho.
It’s a cigar that also marks the first Liga Privada cigar to be made available in a 6 x 60 format. Drew Estate says the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Super Ancho will be available exclusively at all qualifying Drew Diplomat Program partner events from May to August. The Super Ancho replaces last year’s event cigar, the Phineas Gage, a lancero format of the Liga Privada H99.
Like the other Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo cigars, the Super Ancho features a hybrid wrapper that’s derived from Stalk-Cut Habano and Connecticut Corojo seed, which is grown exclusively for Drew Estate at one farm in the Connecticut River Valley. The blend also includes a Mexican San Andres Otapan Negro Último Corte binder and Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvania Green River One Sucker filler.
The Super Ancho is packaged in 24-count boxes and there will be a limit of three boxes per event. Pricing is set at $21.14 per cigar or $507.36 per box. The Drew Estate site can provide details of upcoming events.

Additionally, this private blend is truly super-complex, and should be explored by the dudes and dudettes who typically smoke smaller rings, even those who smoke lanceros. Super Ancho is just different.”
