This weekend is Drew Estate’s Pennsylvania Barn Smoker, and at the DE25 Pre-Party being held nearby tonight, Drew Estate will introduce the third vitola of its Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo line, a Robusto.
The cigar features the Connecticut Corojo H99 hybrid wrapper that is derived from Stalk Cut Habano and Connecticut Corojo seeds that are grown exclusively for Drew Estate. The cigar also features a San Andres Otapan Negro Último Corte binder and Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvania Green River One Sucker filler tobaccos. The Robusto size measures 140mm x 54 (5 1/2 x 54).
“The infamous wrapper leaves of the Connecticut River Valley are clearly the star in every Liga Privada blend,” notes Drew Estate Founder and President, Jonathan Drew in a press release. “This is especially true of Liga H99. This sexy beast expresses the intricacies of the terroir from the farm where H99 Connecticut Corojo is grown. The soil speaks to us and we’ve learned how to listen to it, sincerely. Those H99 savory notes dance across the palate and culminate into a master-crescendo of a finish. Believe me when I say that I’m especially proud of Liga H99 Robusto. It’s dope as hell.”
While the Liga Privada H99 Connecticut Corojo Robusto will be available this weekend, plans are for the cigar to begin shipping to Drew Diplomat retailers in September. Pricing is set at $358.00 per box SRP or $14.95 per cigar.
