La Aurora has announced a new limited edition line known as the La Aurora Small Batch. As the name indicates, this will be a series of small-batch, limited-edition cigars. The cigars that are a part of the series are blends by La Aurora Master Blender Manuel Inoa that have been in the aging rooms for considerable periods of time. The first installment of this series will hit retail stores this month, the La Aurora Small Bach Lot No. 002.

According to La Aurora, the Small Batch series is being released to free up space in the warehouse and make room for new projects. “As we make room to explore new blends for our consumers, we are excited to share some of our favorites from Manuel’s past work,” said Guillermo León, President of La Aurora, in a press release. “In each blend, Manuel demonstrates his experience, talent, and commitment to providing quality products to both new consumers and cigar aficionados.”

“Small Batch is a series that is very special to me. Not only because I created each release, but it is literally in the name. These cigars will only ever exist in small batches: each release features distinct tasting notes, with some having been aged up to 19 years, and are unable to be blended and rolled in large scale quantities,” added Manuel Inoa. “Lot No. 1 was the same blend in a short salomon format, but not available in the U.S. as it sold out immediately in the Dominican Republic. For that reason, we wanted to make all 222 boxes of Lot No. 002 exclusively available to retailers in the U.S. market.”

Small Batch Lot No. 002 is available in a vintage salomon format (6 1/2 X 50/60) made up of a Dominican Corojo wrapper, Dominican binder, and filers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. La Aurora says these cigars have 15 years of age on them. Lot No. 002 will be presented in ten-count dress boxes with a total production of 222 boxes. Pricing is set at $13.00 per cigar.

La Aurora says Small Batch Lot No. 003 and No. 004 are scheduled to be released in early and late 2024, respectively.
