My Father Tatuaje La Union

La Union, the collaboration between My Father Cigars, Inc. and Tatuaje Cigars, Inc., celebrating the 20th anniversary of each company, is getting closer to heading to retailers. The cigars were showcased at the 2023 PCA Trade Show and now additional details on the project were announced.

The relationship between My Father and Tatuaje goes back to 2003, At the time, Jose “Pepin” Garcia along with his children Jaime and Janny, started making cigars in a little factory in Miami, Florida. At that time, their first private label client was Pete Johnson and his brand Tatuaje. Pete met Pepin at an event in Los Angeles and immediately knew he wanted Pepin to make his cigars. Since then, the Garcias and Pete have been working together on blending, manufacturing, and distributing some of the highest-rated cigars in the industry.

La Union will have two limited edition box releases – a black box and a red one. There will be a total of 1,500 of each of the boxes. The U.S. market is receiving an allocation of 1,200 boxes for each release, while the International market is receiving 300. The black box will be released early this year and will be numbered from 1-1,500. The red boxes will be numbered 1,501 to 3,000 and will be released at a later date.

The logo features an artistic rendering of Pete shaking Jaime’s hand with Pepin blessing the union. Each box will come with forty cigars. Each box features twenty cigars blended by My Father for Tatuaje, and twenty cigars by Tatuaje for My Father. There will be different blends in the black and red box releases. All of the cigars will have be a 7 1/4 x 50 Prominente Especial with a Cuban 109 (bullet) cap. The cigars blended by Pete Johnson feature a covered foot, and the cigars blended by My Father have an open foot.
