Fratello Cigars has announced a new add-on to its DMV Series, the Fratello Pocahontas. While the Fratello DMV Series has been a regional release to the Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and DC regions, the Fratello Pocahontas will see a national release as a PCA Exclusive offering at this year’s 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show.
Produced at the La Aurora factory in the Dominican Republic, Pocahontas consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaragua binder. The cigar features fillers from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua. Fratello Pocahontas comes in a single size, measuring 5 1/2 x 54. A total of 200 20-count boxes have been produced. Pricing is set at $10.00 MSRP.
Fratello Pocahontas is the third Virginia regional blend. Previous Virginia releases were done in 2018 and 2019. Fratello is based in the Virginia area, so the Pocahontas release ties with the history of that area.
“Tobacco was Colonial Virginia’s cash crop, fueling its growth and leaving an indelible mark on American history. This release for Fratello conveys the story of John Rolfe, his wife Pocahontas, the Powhatan people, and Virginia, binding the state’s legacy to a leaf that changed the world,” commented Omar de Frias.
The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens March 23, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. PCA Exclusive cigars are cigars offered only to those retailers that attend the PCA Trade Show.
