Quesada 50th Anniversary Set to Debut | Cigar News

Quesada Cigars is getting ready to mark 50 years in the cigar industry, and to mark the occasion, they will be releasing the Quesada 50th Anniversary cigar. The Quesada 50th Anniversary is being unveiled this month at the Procigar 2024 festival in the Dominican Republic. The following month, the cigar will launch formally at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in Las Vegas.

The Quesadas have a long history in the tobacco business, tracing back to Cuba. In 1974, they opened up their factory, Manufactura de Tabacos S.A. (MATSA). They started making cigars for other people and eventually released their branded cigars.

The Quesada 50th Anniversary features a Habano Ecuador wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Peru. There are two sizes – both in ten-count boxes: Toro Prensado (6 1/4 x 56, SRP $17.00) and Perfecto (6 x 60, MSRP $19.00/cigar). A total of 2,200 boxes of the Prensado and 200 boxes of the Perfecto will be released.

In a press release, Manuel Quesada commented, “Having had the privilege of participating as our industry grew and evolved, we look at the fifty years of our history and developed a cigar that will reflect our manufacturing and blending traditions. As we have commemorated other anniversaries, reaching fifty years as a premium cigar manufacturing company is a milestone to be celebrated.”

In addition, there will be two special 50th Anniversary humidors. One will be a part of the Procigar 2024 Charity Auction, and the second will remain with the family. These humidors contain 100 box-pressed 6 1⁄4 x 56 and 10 Perfecto 6 x 60 cigars.
