Esteban Disla and Daniel Lance have announced the formation of Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A. and its brand Domain Cigars. The new venture will be marketed under two brands: Neutron and Negentropy. The company will begin shipping products in April.
Esteban Disla began working in tobacco at age 11 in his native Dominican Republic. became renowned for cultivating exceptional quality tobacco with the assistance of her two sons, Esteban and Raul. Esteban apprenticed under Sergio Cuevas and played a pivotal role in the success of Latin American Cigars, now known as STG. Disla has crafted brands, including CAO, Torano, Alec Bradley, and others. Most recently, he spent time at Nica Sueño as Co-founder. His brother is known for his work at the NACSA factory.
Daniel Lance comes from the retail side. His journey began 17 years ago when he worked for Outlaw Cigar Company and later Fidel’s Cigar Shop. He provided advisory services to cigar shops nationwide, assisting them in navigating challenging markets and facilitating mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he co-founded Lujo Concepts, a luxury cigar accessories brand in its ninth year. In his technical career, Daniel has advised government agencies and played a role in modernizing critical infrastructure and contributing to the profitability of startups, including two unicorn startups in industrial cybersecurity.
According to a press release, this project has been in the works for some time. In the past five years, Tabacalera Familia Disla has gone from holding no tobacco to producing 300,000 pounds annually.
Neutron is highlighted by aged AAA Mexican San Andreas wrapper sourced from TANICSA’s Gilberto Oliva. The cigars feature a double Nicaraguan binder and all Nicaraguan fillers. The filler tobacco comes from Condega and Pueblo Nuevo using the factory’s exclusive Despanic process of fermentation. In terms of the meaning, Domain Cigars says:
Negentropy features an aged AAA Habano wrapper also from Oliva Tobacco Company. The cigars feature a double Nicaraguan binder and all Nicaraguan fillers. The filler tobacco comes from Condega using the factory’s exclusive Despanic fermentation process. In terms of the meaning of Negentophy, Domain Cigars says:
Esteban Disla and Daniel Lance blended both Domain cigars. They are also being released in the same nine sizes in 20-count boxes.
Domain Cigars has extended invitations to 100 retail partners for the launch. As a token of appreciation, Domain sent a surprise box sampling of Negentropy, Neutron, and a third blend, N7B.
