At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Gurkha Cigars will release the Gurkha Colección Especial Nicaragua.
Gurkha Colección Especial Nicaragua follows up the Gurkha Colección Especial. While the Colección Especial was produced at PDR Cigars in the Dominican Republic, the Colección Especial Nicaragua comes from American Caribbean Cigars. Currently, the original Colección Especial is on hiatus due to the availability of the hybrid Connecticut wrapper it uses.
The Colección Especial Nicaragua is a 100% Nicaraguan puro. Presented in ten-count boxes, it comes in two sizes: Toro (6 x 54) and Pirámide (6 1/8 x 52). The Pirámide size had a small launch in 2023 as a part of the Tobacconists Association of America (TAA) Exclusive Series.
The second release from Gurkha Cigars is also not a stranger, as its debut was made in 2023 as the TAA Exclusive. “After releasing to the TAA Membership and the great feedback we got from them, we decided to release this mainstream,” mentioned Juan Lopez, Vice President of Gurkha Cigars, in a press release.
“This was the first time we released a Pirámide shape when we released to the TAA last year. The Torpedo is hand made with a sharper point to create our first Pirámide in our portfolio and after the tremendous success with the TAA in 2023, we decided to keep it going,” said Lopez.
The price for both the Toro and Piramide sizes of the Colección Especial Nicaragua is $14.95.
