The 2024 show was the third Premium Cigar Association Trade Show (PCA) for Oz Family Cigars, the cigar company founded by Tim Ozgener. This year, the company introduced not just a new cigar but also a new name. Originally launched as Ozgener Family Cigars, the decision was made to shorten the name to Oz Family Cigars.
As for the new cigar, it’s called Firsat. Firsat is the Turkish word for “opportunity” and it is the third regular production offering in the Oz portfolio paying homage to owner Tim Ozgener and his family’s Turkish roots. As for the cigar itself, it’s an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade offering. To produce the cigar, Oz Family Cigars once again turns to the Casa Carrillo factory, which is making all of its current offerings. The cigar is available in four sizes, ranging from $12.00 to $14.00 SRP.
With Firsat, Oz Family Cigars has a core line trifecta. The company’s first release, Bosphorus, features a Habano 2000 wrapper. Meanwhile, the company’s second release, Aramas, is a San Andres-wrapped offering. The addition of the Connecticut Shade Firsat rounds out Oz’s core offerings.
