Lure Cigars has announced its first limited edition, The Last Cast. Lure Cigars was founded by Lou Cross III as a tribute to his late father, Lou Cross Jr. The Last Cast is a cigar that continues to honor the memory of Lou’s father.
One of Lou’s last and fondest memories with his father was enjoying a cigar and telling stories. Lou’s father was a lifelong outdoorsman, avid fisherman, and cigar enthusiast. The Last Cast is a phrase used when fishing to note the final cast of the day/night before ending an outing. This gives hope for one more bite, one more thrilling moment, and one more story to tell. Lou created Lure Cigars to bring people together through “tackle and tobacco”. The company’s trademarked slogan is “smoke great cigars and tell tall tales”.
Produced at Tabacalera Pages in Nicaragua, The Last Cast features a USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Limited to 1,200 ten-count packs, The Last Cast comes in one size—a 6 x 52 Toro. The cigar has a $15.00 SRP price point.
The Last Cast will launch on June 1, 2024, at Jerry’s Cigar Shop in Tallahassee, Florida. That day would have been Lou’s father’s 91st birthday. It is also the month Father’s Day is celebrated and the month that he passed away last year.
Lure Cigars are distributed by Valacari Cigars. In the interim, pre-orders are being taken, and the cigars will ship nationwide the first week of June.
