One of the big stories of the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was La Flor Dominicana celebrating 30 years in the cigar business for Litto and Ines Gomez. Given La Flor Dominicana had released milestone cigars for the 20th and 25th anniversary, it was no surprise that there was a 30th-anniversary cigar, LFD 30 Years. This year, we caught up with Litto and Tony Gomez to discuss this important milestone.
The LFD 30 Years comes in a 6 1/2 x 58 box-pressed Chisel, the same size and shape used on the Chapter One and Capitulo II releases. The blend uses a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Dominican binder from the Cotui region. The fillers come from the Gomez family farm in La Canela. The band brings back the La Flor Dominicana flower.
The LFD 30 Years is being released in humidors containing 60 cigars. There will be 2,000 humidors crafted at Tony Gomez’s box factory. The cigar carries a price point of $30.00 MSRP and $1,800.00 MSRP for the humidor. These humidors are expected to ship this summer.
Also showcased was the long-awaited return of the Litto Gomez (LG) Diez line. This line was showcased at the 2023 Trade Show. These cigars will go from a limited vintage release to an ongoing production. The cigars also feature new packaging compared to the previous iterations of LG.
