Once again, Wildfire Cigar Company was one of the most talked about booths at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show. Wildfire is the company launched in 2021 by Jeremy McDonald, best known for his time with Caldwell Cigar Company. The booth went with one of the themes of Wildfire in that it had the look and feel of a campground – complete with an actual RV that was part of the booth. We mention one theme because the other theme revolves around music. McDonald had two releases with a music theme. Each is a release that comes from a different factory. In addition, each is a second installment of a limited edition trilogy from that factory.
The Hook is the second release of a three-part limited edition series from Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. (FTC) in Honduras. The series’ initial release, The Intro, was also produced out of FTC. The cigar features a Honduran wrapper from the Jamastran Valley over an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder. It also has fillers consisting of Dominican, San Andres, and Pennsylvania tobaccos. Furthermore, it is available in one size—a 6 x 46 vitola. The Hook comes in ten-count boxes priced at $12.00 SRP/cigar.
B-sides is the second release of a three-part limited edition series from the Joya de Nicaragua factory following up The Single (which also came out of Joya de Nicaragua). The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a San Andres Mexican binder. The fillers are Nicaraguan from the Estelí and Jalapa regions. Presented in ten-count boxes, B-sides is available in one size – a 48 x 7 vitola. There is a total production of 500 boxes. Pricing for B-sides is $15.00 SRP/cigar.
