Topper Cigars has announced it has begun shipping its Topper 1894 line, which debuted at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in March 2024.
The release of the Topper 1894 coincides with the company’s 130th anniversary. It does more than just mark an anniversary milestone. Recently, Chris Topper, President of Topper Cigar, found historical documents confirming the company’s inception, which dates back to 1894. As a result, Topper is established as the longest-standing family-owned cigar company in America, solidifying the company’s rich history in U.S. tobacco.
The blend for the Topper 1894 features a Habano wrapper from Sugar Valley, Pennsylvania. These wrappers are grown in a secluded region of central Pennsylvania. Topper believes this is one of the first, if not the first, premium cigars to come to market with this wrapper. In addition, the filler incorporates Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic.
Topper has also confirmed pricing for its three sizes. Each size is presented in 20-count boxes.
- Corona: 6 x 44 (SRP $8.75/cigar)
- Robusto: 5 x 50 (SRP $8.75/cigar
- Toro: 6 x 54 (SRP $10.50/cigar)
