Drew Estate has announced that the 2024 edition of the Liga Privada Unico Serie Pancetta will soon be available to Wooden Indian Tobacco Shop in Havertown, PA, and Barrister Cigars in Union, NJ. This annual release has been exclusive to these two retailers since it was introduced in 2019. Pre-orders are being taken for the cigar. The release is scheduled for July 27th, coinciding with the upcoming New Jersey Cigar Festival.
The Pancetta’s blend is described as a mash-up between the Liga Privada T52 and the Liga Privada Unico Serie Feral Flying Pig. The Pancetta cigar, like the previous two editions, uses the Connecticut Stalk Cut and Cured Habano wrapper from the Liga Privada T52 line. It also includes a Brazilian Mata Fina binder and a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran filler. The cigar comes in a single size, a 4 3/4 x 50 Belicoso.
A significant change is the move from 24-count boxes to ten-count boxes.
“We are thrilled to bring the Liga Privada Unico Serie Pancetta back to our dedicated patrons at Wooden Indian and Barrister Cigars,” said a spokesperson from Drew Estate in a press release. “This cigar is renowned for its richness and impeccable craftsmanship. The shift to a 10-count box for the Liga Privada Unico Pancetta is fantastic because it means this high-quality cigar is now more accessible. Drew Estate has done a wonderful job with this update, and we’re excited to see our customers’ reactions to this new packaging.”
The cigar gets its name from pancetta, the salt-cured pork belly meat product.
Pricing for the Liga Privada Unico Pancetta 2024 edition is set at $149.99/box or $14.99/cigar.
