Starting October 1, Patina Cigars will have a new U.S. distributor. City of Palms will take over Patina’s distribution from Sutliff Tobacco. This is the second major distribution deal for Patina Cigars, which earlier this month announced distribution into the European market.
Earlier this year, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) acquired Mac Baren, the parent company of Sutliff Tobacco. Patina Cigars stated that they were told Sutliff would end distribution in 2024.
“Working with the Sutliff team over the past five years was an absolute joy and I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish during that time. When we were informed that Sutliff would no longer be distributing cigars past 2024, I knew that City of Palms was the right home for Patina and I am excited to be working with Kevin and Anne again,” commented Mo Maali, President of Patina Cigars in a press release.
“Having been with Mo from the early days of his journey and witnessing the growth and evolution the Patina brand has experienced over the past five years has been nothing short of incredible. To have Mo join our distribution on the heels of announcing his entry into the international market could not be more exciting. Timing is everything, and having established our company a year ago on October 30, Anne and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than to have Mo and the Patina brand at City of Palms!” added Kevin Dinkins, President of City of Palms.
