This week, the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (CFCF) announced the opening of the Arturo Sandoval Music School at its newly inaugurated Academy of Arts. The school is named in honor of legendary musician Arturo Sandoval.
Sandoval is a well-known cigar enthusiast and a long-time supporter of CFCF. In the music world, he is a multi-award-winning jazz trumpeter, pianist, and composer. He has received multiple Grammys, the Latin Grammys Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. On Sunday, December 8, 2024, he will become a Kennedy Center Honors recipient.
Earlier this week, the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (CFCF) inaugurated its Academy of Arts, which the Arturo Sandoval Music School is a part of. Located in the 23-acre Cigar Family project in Bonao, Dominican Republic, the Cigar Family Academy of Arts supports music, arts, and dance programs.
The Fuente and Newman families founded CFCF. CFCF supplies families in the Dominican Republic with education, health care, vocational training, and clean water.
