La Bohème, a brand released by Rafael Nodal a decade ago, is getting reintroduced—this time under Aging Room Cigars. The new Aging Room La Bohème will make its debut in January 2025.
It was in 2014 when Rafael Nodal launched La Bohème. At the time, La Bohème was a standalone brand in Nodal’s Boutique Blend Cigars portfolio. La Bohème is the name of an opera composed by Giacomo Puccini, a favorite of Nodal. In fact, Nodal has said this cigar brings together his three passions—his love for music, his love for Cuban culture, and his love for cigars.
The original La Bohème was created in Tabacalera Palma, Dominican Republic. The all-new Aging Room La Bohème was created in Nicaragua by AJ Fernandez.
“The original La Bohème was introduced in 2014 as a tribute to the cigars my grandfather smoked in the small park near our home in Cuba,” said Rafael Nodal, creator and co-owner of Aging Room Cigars and Vice President of Product Capability at Tabacalera USA in a press release. “The new Aging Room La Bohème is a look to the future, featuring bolder flavors and unique tobaccos. It represents three of my passions: music, cigars, and Cuba—three passions in one cigar.”
The new La Bohème features hybrid wrapper from Broadleaf and Habano seed grown in the Connecticut Valley. The remainder of the blend features Nicaraguan tobaccos from Estelí. The line come in four sizes, each named for a character in the opera.
