CAO FASA Sombra

General Cigar has announced the release of CAO FASA Sombra, the third installment of the FASA Series. This release will complete the trilogy, joining the previously launched Sol and Noche.

Sombra is Spanish for “shadow.” FASA Sombra features an Ecuadorian Shade-grown wrapper over a Cameroon binder. The fillers are a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. Like the previous installments of the series, FASA Sombra comes in two sizes: Toro (6 x 50 $6.99 SRP/cigar) and Gigante (6 x 60, $7.99/cigar). The price points are the same for all three blends in the FASA series. Each size comes in 24-count boxes.

Sol and Noche were produced at different factories. Sol came from STG’s HATSA factory in Honduras, while Noche came from STG Estelí in Nicaragua. The Sombra release completes the lineup, coming from STG’s General Cigar factory in the Dominican Republic.

In a press release, Cory Beardsley, brand manager for CAO, explains, “FASA Sombra was created to bring the FASA lineup full circle. With Sol, we delivered a bold sun-grown expression. With Noche, a rich maduro profile. And now with Sombra, we’ve crafted a refined, shade-grown smoke that’s smooth yet layered. The FASA trilogy now offers the ideal smoking experience; morning, noon or night.”

CAO FASA Sombra will begin shipping to retailers on April 7, 2025.
