Perhaps one of the most interesting first-time exhibitors at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was Raíces Cubanas. This is the brand originating from Fábrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas S. de R.L., the renowned factory in Honduras.

Raíces Cubanas is a partnership between Ralph Montero and the Endemaño family. The Endemaños (Romay, Maria, and their son Hugo) are the owners of Raíces Cubanas.  Montero was best known for his tenure as a partner at Alec Bradley Cigar Company. Alec Bradley, and particularly Montero, has worked closely with Raíces Cubanas for a long time. Now Endemaño and Montero are writing the next chapter of Raíces Cubanas through a series of new brands coming from the acclaimed factory.

Last fall, Raíces Cubanas launched four lines. Each blend is distinct, but the wrappers are made from different varietals from the Trojes region in Honduras.

  • Clásico (Mild to Medium)
  • Liga de Reyes (Medium to Full)
  • C5 Black (Full)
  • GRD3 (Large ring gauge line)

At PCA 2025, Raíces Cubanas launched the brand’s first limited-edition Salomón in collaboration with Liga de Reyes. What intrigued me is that I don’t remember many Salomons coming out of the Raíces Cubanas factory in recent memory (I could be wrong). The Salomón comes in ten-count boxes with a total production of 2,000 boxes. Pricing comes in at $13.50.

This is a company I’m expecting to see many great things to come from.
