At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show, Selected Tobacco will release the Bandolero Premium. This is a new line under Selected Tobacco’s Bandolero brand.

Bandolero Premium is a limited production line. Much of the reason it is limited is due to the extensive aging process done by owner Nelson Alfonso. After the cigars are rolled in Costa Rica, they are aged in Alfonso’s aging room. The cigars undergo a three-year aging process within humidors lined with five different types of cedar.

“Much like the world’s finest bourbons that absorb the essence of their barrels, Bandolero Premium draws richness from its cedar cocktail,” said United Cigars in a press release. United Cigars is the U.S. distributor for Selected Tobacco.

The blend incorporates an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder. The fillers are a combination of Nicaraguan ligero and Peruvian tobaccos. The line comes in three sizes, presented in 25-count boxes. Pricing ranges from $24.00 to $38.00 SRP, dependent on size.

Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars, commented. “The dedication to aging and refinement from Selected Tobacco is unlike anything else. Bandolero Premium only reinforces our belief in the process.”

United Cigars has said that while the full launch is planned at the 2025 PCA Trade Show, select accounts will receive Bandolero Premium before the show. The 2025 PCA Trade Show opens April 12, 2025, in New Orleans.
