Byron Aristocratas 10-Year Aged

At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Selected Tobacco will release the Byron 21st Century Aristocratas 10-Year Aged. As the name indicates, this is a version of the Aristocratas ten years post-roll.

The Byron 21st Century Aristocratas features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Peruvian binder, and a combination of Peruvian and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar itself is a long 8 x 52 vitola.

This isn’t the first time Nelson Alfonso, owner of Selected Tobacco, has aged cigars for ten years.  This was done in 2023 with the Atabey Dioses and Misticos 10-Year Aged editions. Normally aged for four years in meticulously controlled cedar-lined humidors, the Aristocratas has now undergone an entire decade of aging, subjected to Nelson Alfonso’s proprietary method of fluctuating humidity levels that mirrors the careful refinement of vintage wines and spirits.

Selected Tobacco doesn’t define this process as storage, but rather transformation. This occurs inside specially designed humidors lined with five or more cedar varietals from ceiling to floor. Selected Tobacco says this allows the cigars to evolve slowly, drawing in layers of flavor, balance, and aroma.

“For me, aging cigars is like raising child, you must give attention every day. Ten years is not easy. But the cigar now is art. It is soft, but strong. Elegant, but full. This is my passion,” says Nelson Alfonso, founder and creator of Selected Tobacco, in a press release.

The Byron 21st Century Aristocratas 10-Year Aged comes packaged in a 25-count black piano lacquer box. Pricing comes in at $43.50 SRP/cigar, with an MSRP of $43.50 per cigar. United Cigars handles distribution in the U.S.

The 2025 PCA Trade Show opens April 12, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
