Cavalier Genève has focused on expanding its portfolio to include new brands such as Inner Circle and Tres Delincuentes for the past few years. Still, at PCA 2025, the focus turned back to the eponymous gold diamond line. This year, Cavalier Genève introduced a new blend featuring a Broadleaf wrapper. In addition, this line features a different concept for how it is being released. Once again, Cavalier Genève has its signature limited edition release.

Project Broadleaf

First up is the Cavalier Genève Project Broadleaf, which takes a unique approach compared to other offerings in the portfolio. Due to the challenges in sourcing Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Project Broadleaf will feature four distinct limited production releases each year. Each release will showcase a unique size and blend variation, all centered around the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The aim is to present consumers with four different expressions of this beloved leaf. These four blends are set and will follow a repeating annual cycle.

The initial release is the Project Broadleaf Skywalker, a 6 x 48 parejo cigar. It features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a San Andres binder, and fillers sourced from Nicaragua and Honduras. The wrapper undergoes a three-or-more-year fermentation process, followed by an additional year of rest in bales between fermentations. A total of 100 boxes, each containing 50 cigars, have been produced. Of these, 75 boxes were available on a first-come, first-served basis at the PCA Trade Show. Skywalker is currently shipping, with pricing set at $15.60 SR per cigar.

The second release is a 5 1/4 x 52 vitola, Projectect Broadleaf Boartamer. This blend differs from Skywalker as it has a Habano Jalapa binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. Boartamer is available in bundles of ten aluminum foil cigars, with a total global production of 500 bundles. Shipping is anticipated between early and mid-June 2025. The price per cigar is set at $14.60.

The 2025 editions of Skywalker and Boartamer have already sold out, but these blends will be available again in the next iteration. The details for the next two releases are still forthcoming. However, Sébastien Decoppet has mentioned that one of the upcoming blends will feature Indonesian tobacco, which Cavalier has not utilized before.

Cavalier Genève LE 15

Cavalier Genève was accepting orders for its LE 2025 release. Since 2018, Cavalier has introduced a limited edition cigar each year bearing its name. As with previous releases, the company has not revealed the blend for this year’s cigar. Notably, Cavalier changes the blend annually, and once a blend is released, it is never re-released. The LE 2025 will be available in a single size: a 6 1/4 x 50 parejo. While the packaging has not yet been finalized, the blend itself was being showcased.

A total of 1,948 ten-count boxes were produced, a number that is significant because the melting point of gold is 1,948 degrees Fahrenheit. Cavalier Genève is renowned for featuring a 24K gold diamond on the wrappers of many of its cigars. Out of the 1,948 boxes produced, 1,000 have been allocated for the U.S. market. Each cigar is priced at $16.70.
