Altadis VegaFina Relaunch

Altadis U.S.A. is planning a relaunch of its VegaFina brand in the U.S. market. VegaFina is a brand produced by Tabacalera de Garcia and has a significant presence in the international market. The relaunch focuses on the VegaFina Classic and VegaFina 1998 brands. The relaunch features two exclusive product formats available only in the U.S. – VegaFina Tins and Fresh Packs. Additionally, the Wonders Collection will debut, a limited-edition series inspired by the Seven Wonders of the World.

VegaFina Tins

First up are the VegaFina Tins. These are tins that contain five panatela (4 x 42) cigars. Both will be available in the VegaFina Classic and VegaFina 1998 lines. Both VegaFina Classic and 1998 tins are exclusive to the U.S. market. Each five-count tin is priced at $40.00 per unit. The tins are also available in units containing five tins.

The blends are analogous to the core lines. The Classic features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over an Indonesian TBN binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Honduras. Meanwhile, the 1998 features Habana Ecuador over a Java Indonesian binder with fillers from the Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Nicaragua.

VegaFina Fresh Packs

These are four-count humidified packs that feature two VegaFina Classic Toro (6 x 50) and 2 VegaFina 1998 Toro (6 x 54) cigars. These packs are also exclusive to the U.S. market. Each fresh pack is priced at $32.00 per unit. The fresh packs are available in units of eight.

The Wonders Collection – 2025 Edition: Petra

VegaFina’s Wonders Collection is a limited-edition series inspired by the New 7 Wonders of the World. The plan is to honor a new destination each year with a unique blend and packaging.

VegaFina Wonders Collection

The inaugural 2025 edition pays tribute to Petra, an ancient city and archaeological site located in southern Jordan. The site is known for its rose-red city carved into sandstone cliffs. The cigars come in a 7 x 48 format known as Nabateos (named in honor of the earliest settlers in the region). This size is meant to mimic the towering columns of Petra’s ancient architecture.

Petra features a ten-year-aged Criollo Mexican wrapper over a Java Indonesian binder. Fillers come from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Colombia. A total of 750 14-count boxes were produced. Pricing comes in at $15.00 SRP/cigar.

“With these new offerings, we’re not just expanding our product range—we’re creating new opportunities for consumers to engage with the VegaFina brand in meaningful and memorable ways,” said Gabriel Diaz, brand manager for Altadis U.S.A., in a press release. “From on-the-go convenience to cultural celebrations, these new innovations are designed to enhance the cigar experience while honoring the artistry that defines VegaFina.”
