On November 30th at Cigar Aficionado’s Big Smoke, Altadis plans to launch a cigar specific to the New York market – the Montecristo New York Connoisseur Edition.

Last year, three companies launched cigars specific to the New York market.  First came Alec Bradley’s New York.  This was followed up by La Aurora’s Broadway and Gurkha’s Para La Gente.  The concept behind these cigars is these cigars would be sold exclusively to retailers in New York State.   The idea was that the New York State cigars would provide a much needed jolt to retailers in New York because they are losing customers out of state due to the insane tobacco taxes.  The Montecristo New York Connoisseur Edition joins these other three cigars.
Here is a preview of the cigar:

Blend Profile

Vitolas Available

The Montecristo New York Connoisseur Edition will be available in a single vitola – a box-press 6 x 60. It will be sold in boxes of ten.  Each cigar will have an SRP of $14.95.
