Macanudo Vintage 2006

General Cigar Company announced the launch of the Macanudo Vintage 2006.   This cigar will feature a metal band that was similar to what is found on the Macanudo Vintage 1997 Maduro.

The Macanudo Vintage 1997 Maduro finished as our #24 Cigar of the Year for 2010.  The plan had been for the metal band to be a limited offering, but according to General Cigar there was significant consumer demand to keep the metal bands as a part of the 1997 Maduro.  The metal band concept has now been extended to the new Macanudo Vintage 2006 as this provides a Connecticut Shade counterpart to the 1997 Maduro.
