The DPG (Don Pepin Garcia) Limited Edition cigar is a cigar commemorating Don Pepin Garcia’s ten year anniversary of his namesake brand.   Cigar Aficionado recently unveiled some details on the blend for this cigar.

It was in Miami, Florida back in 2002 where Don Pepin Garcia opened up the El Rey de los Habanos factory.   Cigars that have come out of this factory include: Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label, Don Pepin Garcia Serie JJ, Vegas Cubanas, Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic, and the discontinued El Rey de los Habanos.

The cigar will be a limited produtction run with only 2,000 boxes of 14 cigars for a total of 28,000 cigars.  The anticipated release date is scheduled for May, 2013.

Blend Profile

The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano seed from 2009.  The binder and filler are from Nicaragua utilizing crops from 2007 and 2008.

The DPG Limited Edition will be made in one size – a 6 1/2 x 52 toro.  This is a common size that has been used on the My Father Limited Edition and Jaime Garcia Limited Edition cigars.
