Back this past August, we noted an interview that La Flor Dominicana president Litto Gomez did with Emerson’s Cigars in which he discussed some projects that were scheduled for a late 2013 release. One of those projects mentioned a 64 ring gauge cigar. At the time, Gomez said he was looking at this ring gauge for either the Ligero or Double Ligero lines. Last week Cigar Aficionado confirmed that the 64 ring gauge would be a part of the Ligero line. The cigar will be known as the La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-Granu and is targeted for release this November.
The La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-Granu will feature a darker Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper than the core La Flor Dominicana Ligero (Natural) line. This wrapper will come from a higher priming on the Sumatra plant.
The La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-Granu is the largest ring gauge La Flor Dominciana has made to date.
At a glance, here are the details of the La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-Granu:
Blend Profile

The La Flor Dominicana Ligero L-Granu will be a 6 x 64 cigar. This will be the only vitola in the Ligero (Natural) line to use the higher priming wrapper.
