At Inter-Tabac 2014 in Dortmund, Germany, E.P. Carrillo showed off a pair of two new cigar lines. According to a report by Cigar Aficionado, the cigars are targeted for a release for Europe in October and will hit the U.S. market later in 2014. The cigars are the E.P. Carrillo New Wave Reserva and the E.P. Carrillo Cabinet.
Except for limited releases such as the E.P. Carrillo NWC Short Run 2012 and E.P. Carrillo Medalla D’Oro, this is the first line being launched with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper since 2011’s E.P. Carrillo New Wave Connecticut.
The Cigar Aficionado notes that company founder Ernesto Perez-Carrillo told them that the wrapper of the New Wave Reserva will be darker in color and come from a higher priming of the bland.
