Back on Episode 183 of Stogie Geeks of IndianHead Cigars Director of Marketing Fabian Barrantes broke news of the new packaging for the Rough Rider Sweets line. The Rough Rider Sweets line is a product that has been on the market since 2001, it is a Connecticut Shade cigar with a sweet tip. The new packaging of Rough Rider Sweets is now currently shipping to all retailers.

The new packaging features an edgier look, but was also designed to give the look of smoking a traditional cigar.  Barrantes discussed more about the packaging when he broke the news on Stogie Geeks.

The Rough Rider Sweets features a Connecticut Shade wrapper with a Dominican binder as well as Cibao Valley long filler tobaccos. It addition, the cigar incorporates a sweet tip. The company emphasized this is not an infused or flavored cigar. Rough Rider Sweets is being made at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic. The cigar is available in five sizes in 25 count boxes. The cigar is also a value-priced offering at under $4.00 per cigar.

Last year, Tabacalera Palma announced it had acquired IndianHead Cigars. IndanHead Cigars had been owned by Bill Bock. When Bock decided to retire he reached out to Tabacalera Palma owner Jochy Blanco to acquire the company.  As a part of the acquisition, Blanco and Tabacalera Palma acquired ownership of Rough Rider Sweets.
