Riste Riatevski is getting ready to expand his JSK brand. After the success of his initial Jas Sum Kral line, Riatevski will be adding two new blends, Crna Nok and Zlatno Sonce. These blends will round out his portfolio and introduce an both an Connecticut Broadleaf and Ecuadorian Connecticut into his line.
The Crna Nok will feature an Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a San Andres binder and all Nicaraguan filler. Meanwhile the Zlatno Sonce will feature a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper also over a San Andres binder and Nicaraguan filler. In describing the Zlatno Sonce; Riatevski commented, “this is not your father’s Connecticut”. Both blends are being produced at Tabacalera NOA, the Esteli, Nicaragua factory owned by Noel Rojas and Brandon Hayes.
The Crna Nok and Zlatno Sonce will both be launched in a Toro size, 6 x 52. There are plans to add a Robusto (5 1/2 x 50) and a Lancero (7 x 38) to both lines. Riatevski informed Cigar Coop that Renegade Cigars, the store owned by Brandon Hayes in Richardson, Texas will be the first shop to carry the new lines.
It’s been a busy year for Riatevski as he recently has done a full launch of the Jas Sum Kral line, his Ecuadorian Habano offering.
