At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, the story at E.P. Carrillo was its revamped portfolio – and it seemed almost every line was affected in one form or another. This included the popular INCH by E.P. Carrillo line – the line geared for large ring gauges. With the INCH line, a new blend called the INCH Colorado was introduced while the INCH C-99 was dropped. Other changes include a standardized vitola set and some packaging.
First up, the three blends in the vitola line will be standardized. This includes the No. 60 (5 7/8 x 60), No. 62 (5 x 62), No. 64 (6 1/8 x 64), and No. 70 (7 x 70). Also being added all three blends is the No. 58 (8 x 58), a vitola that was previously introduced to the INCH Maduro line. All five sizes in each of the three blends will be in 24 count boxes.
Each of the three blends will feature a footer band to denote the INCH blend, but now each of the INCH blends will have a unique colored box to distinguish the blends from one another.
The blends are not changing. The INCH Maduro and INCH Natural remain the same. As we reported previously, the INCH Colorado uses a Ecuadorian Habano Colorado wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.
Under the restructuring of the E.P. Portfolio, the INCH blends have been aligned into the Dimension Series. Ironically, this series also includes the recently released small size Interlude by E.P. Carrillo line.
At a glance, here is a look at the INCH by E.P. Carrillo line.
