After a limited run in the Wisconsin market, the Nomad GB-19 is going national. The GB-19 was announced at this year’s IPCPR as Nomad Cigar Company’s first candela release.
The cigar’s name and candela wrapper pay homage to Nomad Cigar Company owner Fred Rewey’s favorite team, the Green Bay Packers.
The company also released that the GB-19 is being produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra, the factory owned by James Brown. Rewey has recently partnered with Fabrica Oveja Negra with the recently released Nomad Martial Law.
“I always wanted to pay homage to my home state NFL team, call it a bucket list item, but was frustrated with the test blends to date. Of course I had to use Candela, but did not like the grassiness being too prevalent. I was talking to James Brown and he made some suggestions..essentially ‘cracking the Candela code’ when it came to offsetting the Candela tobacco in a direction I wanted to take it,” said Rewey in a press release.
In addition to a Honduran Candela wrapper, the Nomad GB-19 consists of an Ecuadorian binder and a Nicaraguan filler. The cigar is available in one size, a 6 x 50 Toro and is sold in 20 count boxes. Pricing for the GB-19 is set at $10.00 SRP.
Nomad Cigar Company is distributed by Boutiques Unified.
