Quesada Cigars and Regius Cigars have ended their distribution agreement. The move is effective April 30, 2017.
According to a press release, Regius will be sold through a new distributor who will be announced in the near future.
“We at Quesada are very proud of the massive growth of the Regius brand since the time we took over distribution and we wish Akhil the best of luck as he takes Regius in a new direction, ” said Terence Reilly of Quesada Cigars.
“We are sad to see this partnership end. Personally, I am always thankful to Manuel Quesada and the Quesada family, Terence Reilly, Gladys and Juan in Miami who have worked very hard,” commented Regius Cigars owner Akhil Kapacee.
Quesada had also been producing the Regius White Label Dominican. According to an article by Cigar Aficionado, Quesada had discontinued production of that cigar.
Regius Cigars is a company based in the United Kingdom. Quesada Cigars had been handling the U.S. distribution. The split ends a five year relationship between the Regius and Quesada.
