Joya de Nicaragua Clasico

As Joya de Nicaragua is getting ready to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the company has decided to revamp the packaging of its oldest and most widely distributed brand – the Joya de Nicaragua Clásico. The new packaging contains throwback elements found on the original Clásico that was released in 1968.

“We wanted to bring back the beautiful artistic look of the original Joya de Nicaragua box, so we commissioned an expert digital artist to recreate the brand’s original painting, showcasing the beautiful landscape of northern Nicaragua.” said Juan I. Martinez, President of Joya de Nicaragua in a press release.

“The inside label shows a painting of a tobacco field in the Valley of Estelí, which is where our history began. The human, artisan and artful side of our brand is also portrayed, with the on-duty tobacco growers on the front. On the background, you’ll see the curing barns and the ‘malinche’ trees with their vibrant red owers, an iconic ornament present at our factory, too.” added, Martinez.

The cigar features the same blend which includes an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filer. It is offered in 10 sizes. It is the company’s best-selling cigar in the European market.
