Onyx is a brand that has been in the Altadis USA portfolio for quite some time, but it also has been one of the quieter ones. At this year’s IPCPR Trade Show, the Onyx Reserve gets a makeover. The cigars will now feature a new box and new band designs.
There are no changes to the blend. It features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Dominican binder and a combination of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian fillers. The cigars are produced at Tabacalera de Garcia in the Dominican Republic.
The cigar is being relaunched with the new packaging in five sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 50), No. 2 Belicoso (6 1/8 x 52), Torbusto (5 1/2 x 60), and Churchill (7 x 50). Each size is presented in 20-count boxes.
