While it was announced prior to the 2019 IPCPR Trade Show, it wouldn’t be until the actual show opened that Southern Draw Cigars would unveil the Rose of Sharon Desert Rose cigar. This is a special offshoot of the company’s Rose of Sharon cigar. The cigar itself is a different blend of the regular production Rose of Sharon in a box-pressed Belicoso Fino.
The Rose of Sharon is a line that is a tribute to Southern Draw Cigars’ co-founder Sharon Holt, the wife of Southern Draw Chief Evangelist Robert Holt.
The unveiling format has been something Southern Draw has used for the past two years. In addition to unveiling the Desert Rose, this year Southern Draw also unveiled the Kudzu Lustrum and Jacobs Ladder Brimstone.
Details of the Rose of Sharon Desert Rose were reported during Cigar Coop’s IPCPR Pre-Game coverage:
Cigar Coop was on-hand for the Desert Rose unveiling which was recorded June 29, 2019 at the IPCPR Trade Show.
On July 23rd, Robert Holt will be a guest on Prime Time Special Edition #57 to discuss the Desert Rose in detail.
