Back when Viaje Cigars launched over a decade ago, there were two regular production cigar lines – Oro and Platino. Eventually those lines were folded into Viaje’s small batch model and would be released on a limited basis. Back when Oro and Platino were regular production, there were two limited perfecto sizes that were released in 2009. For the first time in about 11 years that will change as Viaje announced the return of the Viaje Oro and Viaje Platino as Edicíon Limited releases.
Both are Nicaraguan puros using a Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 wrapper, but the Oro is considered to be the more “amp’d up” of the two blends. The Oro measures 5 1/4 x 52 while the Platino measures 6 x 50. Both cigars are shipped in 50-count cabinet boxes.
