The HVC 500 Anniversary, a cigar line that was introduced in 2019 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the city of Havana, Cuba, is going regular production. The cigars will be showcased at the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) 2021 in Las Vegas scheduled to open on May 12.
HVC Founder and President Reinier Lorenzo said two sizes of the 500th Anniversary, the Teseros (5 7/8 x 52) and Selectos (5 5/8 x 46) will be the first two sizes to join the company’s portfolio of regular production cigars. Lorenzo has indicated a third size will be added to the line in the future.
The blend consists of a Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 and Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 for the filler.
The Teseros finished as the #7 Cigar of the Year on the 2020 Cigar Coop Countdown.
Pricing is set at $11.60 SRP for the Teseros and $10.50 SRP for the Selectos.
