Casdagli Cigars is releasing its most premium line to date, Cypher 3311. The Cypher 3311 draws inspiration from company founder Jeremy Casadigl’s grandfather, Major A.T. Casdagli who was a prisoner of war and created cryptic messages in his embroidery artwork when he was a POW. The cigars will be showcased at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in Las Vegas

“I have always wanted to honour my Grandfather’s artistic legacy as well as his service during WW2. It was not until 2012 when the Imperial War museum confirmed that not only did my Grandfather conduct a brave protest against the Nazis with his cypher messages hidden within his artwork created within the war prisoner camps but that he was also a member of MI9 which included the planning of POW escapes, the gathering of intelligence and the passing on of that intelligence through clandestine communications to London,” says Jeremy Casdagli, the Founder of Casdagli Cigars, in a press release.

The Cypher 3311 Line consists of four different vitolas: Diademas, Double Corona, Box-pressed Churchill, Toro Gordo. The name of this unique line of cigars Cypher 3311 as well as the names given to the vitolas – Enigma, Colossus, Needle and Lorenz, refer to the secret war conducted during WWII. “3311“ was Jeremy’s grandfather’s POW number. The “Coat of Arms“ used as this line’s primary image replicates one of his grandfather’s wartime embroideries.

Casdagli Cigars says the blends chosen as well as the imagery on the packaging contain hidden messages that can be discovered by the smoker. The tobaccos used are described as “rare and expensive that require extra aging once the cigar is made.” Each cigar will indicate clearly its year of production on its box.

Production of the Cypher 3311 will be limited to 16,000 per year with a maximum of 4,000 cigars per blend. The 2022 production is limited to 8,000 cigars. The cigars will be available in eight-count boxes with each individual cigar packaged in a blue varnished coffin box. Pricing is anticipated to be in the $50.00 to $60.00 range per cigar. The Cypher 3311 is produced at the IGM Boutique Factory in San José, Costa Rica.

Casdagli Cigars also says that a percentage of every cigar sale will be donated to the Red Cross whose relentless work continues to alleviate human suffering across the world.

In addition to the cigars, the company is republishing a book by Jeremy’s father Captain A. Casdagli called “A Stitch in Time. God save the King – Fu*k Hitler!” This depicts the four years of life that Major A. T. Casdagli was a POW, and it served as the main source of inspiration for the Cypher 3311 cigar line. There will also be a Cypher 3311 thematic silk pocket square. Both items will be available for purchase at Villa Casdagli Collection online shop.

The 2022 PCA Trade Show opens July 9, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
