Last year, J.C. Newman Cigar Company announced it would be giving its El Baton line a new look and reintroducing it back to the market.

According to J.C. Newman, the blend is being tweaked to be somewhat strong. The components include an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The line will continue to be offered in the Double Torpedo, Double Robusto, Robusto, and Belicoso sizes.

El Baton is a cigar that can be traced back to 1914. With the onset and increase in machine-made cigars, El Baton was discontinued. In 2008, Eric and Bobby Newman resurrected the brand.

The revamped El Baton will be showcased at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show scheduled to open July 9, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
