General Cigar has started informing retailers of the latest limited-edition extension to its CAO Flathead brand, the CAO Flathead V23. This is the third installment in the “Flathead V” series that focuses on larger ring gauge offerings. The CAO Flathead V23 follows up the CAO Flathead V19 and CAO Flathead V21.

Made at the Honduran American Tobacco S.A. (HATSA), the blend for the V23 features a Honduran wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Unlike the other “Flathead V” editions, the V23 comes in one size called MKI 660, named after Ford’s GT40 MK I – which is a box-pressed 6 x 60 offering. It is presented in 20-count boxes. The CAO Flathead V23 pays homage to the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours at LeMans automobile race, and its packaging is highlighted by the iconic blue and orange used on the Ford/Gulf GT40 livery. Production is limited, with specific numbers not available at the time of this report. Pricing is set at $13.99 per cigar.
