PCA 2024 Cohiba

Cohiba was one of the brands of General Cigar making a return at PCA 2024 for the first time in five years. The brand has maintained its status as General Cigar’s most ultra-premium offering. This year saw Cohiba bring two new releases to the trade show. The first is an all-new brand under the Cohiba M umbrella, the Reserva Roja. Meanwhile the second saw General deliver its first lancero for Cohiba with the Cohiba Riviera Lancero.

Cohiba Serie M Reserva Roja has become the fourth Cohiba release made in the U.S. at the El Titan de Bronze factory. Unlike the previous three Cohiba Serie M releases, the Reserva Rioja features a new blend. The Reserva Roja does use the same Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper as the original Serie M releases, but differs in the remainder of the blend. Reserva Roja also includes a Nicaragua Corojo binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The cigar is being launched in a single size – Magnum (6 1/2 x 54). The Cohiba Reserva Roja is priced at $29.99 per cigar and is packaged in ten-count boxes.

The Cohiba Riviera Lancero is a line extension to Cohiba Riviera line. Riviera was introduced in 2023 and was Cohiba’s first box-pressed offering as well as Cohiba’s first San Andres Mexican offering. Now it will be the home to Cohiba’s first lancero. The Cohiba Riviera also features a Honduran-grown Connecticut binder and a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. Like the rest of the Cohiba Riviera line, the Lancero is box-pressed. It comes in a 7 x 38 format packaged in 15-count boxes. The Cohiba Riviera Lancero comes in at a price point of $14.99 SRP/cigar.
