PCA 2024 Aganorsa Leaf

For Aganorsa Leaf, the big story at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was the return of the Arsenio brand. The Arsenio brand has been one of the more popular brands in the Aganorsa Leaf portfolio, going back to the Casa Fernandez days. The brand is named after the company’s master blender, Arsenio Ramos, who passed away in 2018. Happily, this year, Arsenio returns with an all-new blend, one that was a personal favorite of Ramos. Meanwhile, Aganorsa quietly also had a couple of line extensions, adding the “Junior” size to the JFR Connecticut line.  Moreover, Aganorsa added a 6 x 60 Titan size to its New Cuba Superior line.

The Arsenio cigar is made entirely of Nicaraguan tobacco grown on the Aganorsa farms. It is available in three sizes: Robusto, Toro, and Corona, and comes packaged in 15-count boxes. This particular cigar is produced annually, with only 2,000 boxes planned for 2024. The Arsenio is a premium offering from Aganorsa Leaf, with a price point of between $14.99 and $16.99.

Secondly, the Junior size has been added to the JFR Connecticut line, measuring 4 1/2 x 46. It is available in 50-count boxes and carries an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, enveloping Nicaraguan tobaccos harvested from the Aganorsa farms. The cigar is priced at $6.25 SRP.

Finally, the New Cuba Superior was launched in 2023 as a long-filler extension to Aganorsa Leaf’s mixed filler New Cuba brand. The New Cuba Superior was created to offer a lighter and milder option in Aganorsa’s portfolio. Recently, the New Cuba Superior Titan has been introduced as a new 6 x 60 line extension to the New Cuba Superior line, making it the fourth size in the line. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over all Nicaraguan tobaccos grown on the Aganorsa farms. Like the rest of the New Superior line, the Titan comes in 25-count boxes and is priced at $8.52 SRP.
