At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Oscar-nominated Chazz Palminteri will introduce this third cigar project, A Bronx Tale – Sonny. Details of the release were given to Cigar Aficionado early this year.
In 2023, Palminteri entered the cigar industry with the limited edition “A Bronx Tale” cigar. “A Bronx Tale” collaborates with Paul DiSilvio of La Casa Grande Cigars and Dean Parsons Epic Cigars / Zander-Greg. Last year, Palminteri introduced a regular production line known as Calogero. Both the original limited edition A Bronx Tale and Calogero featured Ecuadorian Habano offerings. With Sonny, this is a San Andres Mexican offering.
Sonny comes in one size – a 6 x 54 box-pressed Toro. In addition to the Mexican wrapper, Sonny uses a Dominican binder and a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Production comes from Tabacalera Von Eicken in the Dominican Republic. Cigar Aficionado says Sonny will initially be a limited release of 1,000 12-count boxes with plans eventually to go to regular production. Pricing is reported at $25.00 per cigar.
Sonny is named for the character Sonny LoSpecchio, whom Palminteri played in the film A Bronx Tale. The cigars have red packaging and banding.
