Artesano Del Tobacco has announced El Pulpo – The Eel, which is a new extension to the El Pulpo line in the form of a 7 x 38 Lancero. The Eel is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Moreover, while The Eel features a blend similar to the rest of the El Pulpo line, Artesano Del Tobacco employs a unique fermentation process for the San Andres Mexican wrapper and Nicaraguan binder. Consequently, the company says that this process sets The Eel apart from the rest of the El Pulpo line.
Regarding why a lancero size was added, owners Billy and Gus Fakih say this was in response to consumer demand. El Pulpo pays homage to the sea creature, the octopus.
