Ten-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony has teamed up with Kingmakers Cigars to release his own signature cigar, VERSA. The cigar had a soft launch at Gentlemen’s Supper Club during the NBA All-Star weekend in San Francisco.
The name “VERSA” comes from the Latin word “Versatilis,” which represents adaptability and strength. Anthony’s actions on and off the court align with this.
“VERSA is more than just a cigar; it’s a reminder to stay focused and committed, no matter the challenges,” says Anthony in a press release. “I wanted a cigar that reflects my journey and passion for storytelling. Partnering with Kingmakers has been an exciting opportunity to bring this vision to life with the craftsmanship and quality that reflects my story.”
The blend features a Habano 2000 wrapper, a Sumatra binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania tobaccos. VERSA comes in one size—a 6 x 54 Toro. The cigars come in ten-count boxes. The SRP is $225.00/box.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Carmelo Anthony on VERSA,” said a Kingmakers spokesperson. “His dedication to quality and his vision for what a cigar should represent align perfectly with our mission at Kingmakers. We believe VERSA will resonate with aficionados and newcomers alike.”
VERSA will be available in limited quantities through select retailers and Kingmakers’ official website starting in late March. Kingmakers has also produced a cigar for WNBA star Kelsey Plum.
