Altadis U.S.A.’s Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary debuted at the 2025 Procigar Festival. The launch occurred on Monday, February 17th, 2025, at Plaza Chavon in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Attendees at that event were among the first to receive and try this new release.
The Romeo y Julieta 150th anniversary includes tobaccos grown by key partners of Altadis U.S.A. This includes an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper sourced from AJ Fernandez and a Mexican binder from the Turrent family. The fillers use Dominican tobaccos from José Mendez & Co. and Honduran tobaccos from the Plasencias. The filler also incorporates Peruvian tobacco. Production comes out of Tabacalera de Garcia in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

The Procigar Festival opened in La Romana, Dominican Republic, on February 16th. Attendees enjoyed a Catamaran ride to Isla de Catalina and a tour of Tabacalera de Garcia before heading to Santiago on February 18th for the rest of the festival.
The Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary will also be showcased in Santiago, at the annual Procigar Charity Auction. A one-of-a-kind Palazzo of Love Humidor is going to be auctioned off at the event on the night of February 21st. This humidor is made of genuine Italian white pebbled leather with intricate embossed detailing. and a premium mahogany interior. The humidor features six mahogany wood drawers that combine. While it is able to hold 240 cigars, 100 limited-edition Reconciliations cigars are included, now exclusively available for this unit. The box-pressed Belicoso (52 x 6 1/8) Reconciliation cigars come out of Tabacalera de García for this anniversary and come with a US $31.00 SRP.
