The 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show was a bridge year for Padrón Cigars. The year 2025 sits between two significant milestones for Padrón Cigars: their 60th anniversary in 2024 and the centennial celebration of José Orlando Padrón’s birth in 2026. Given these important events, in the months prior to the show, I was uncertain whether Padrón would introduce anything new at the 2025 PCA Trade Show. To my surprise, they did reveal a new offering, the PB-99.
The PB-99 is offered in both Natural and Maduro formats, featuring a rounded size of 6 3/4 x 60. This release is an extension of the Padrón Black Series. Padrón Cigars has kept details somewhat under wraps over the years for this line. The designation “99” honors what would have been the 99th birthday of the late José Orlando Padrón. Several Padrón Black blends have been previously introduced. However, this marks the second one made widely available to retailers, joining the Padrón PB-97 released in 2023. Both the Natural and Maduro blends of the PB-99 are priced at $44.00 each and are anticipated to hit the market later this year..
