Black Label Tading Company (BLTC) has announced the release J.W. Marshall. The cigar will be an exclusive for Cigar Federation available.  The cigar will be available on January 24th, 2016 and sold exclusively at Cigar Federation’s online store.

James W. (or J.W.) Marshall was a carpetner and sawmill operator. He is credited for discovering gold on the American River in California, which triggered the California Gold Rush of 1848.

As Logan Lawler, owner of Cigar Federation explained, there is significance of the January 24th release date: “January 24th is more than just the date J.W. Marshall discovered gold in California; it is the date my mother was born and the date this project was conceptualized. To honor the discovery of gold and my mother’s birth date; the cigar is being released on January 24th. Plus, there is something really unique about this project which will be shared with everyone who makes a purchase. Think ‘Golden Ticket’.”

The cigar features an aged Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.  The cigar is being made at BLTLC’s Fabrica Oveja Negra factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Consistent with Black Label Trading Company’s small batch philosophy, the allocation of JW Marshall will be 75 ten count boxes for this release.

J.W. Marshall becomes the second shop exclusive made by BLTC. The company has released two iterations of Catacomb – a shop exclusive to Underground Cigar Shop.
