Leaf by Oscar will now have four regular production offerings. At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, it was announced that a 5 x 50 Robusto has been added to the portfolio. In addition, the current 7 x 40, a size that was limited to select retailers will now be a regular offering to all retailers.
Leaf by Oscar is a collaboration between Pittsburgh-based retailer Jim Robinson and Honduran cigar maker Oscar Valladares. The line was launched in 2014 with four blends : Leaf by Oscar Connecticut, Leaf by Oscar Corojo, Leaf by Oscar Maduro, and Leaf by Oscar Sumatra. Originally the cigar was offered in a 6 x 50 Toro, last year a 6 x 60 Gordo and the limited Lancero were added. The line is best known for having a cigar enclosed in a tobacco leaf as opposed to cellophane.
